Shop Closing

The government has asked the public ‘stay at home’ with immediate effect.

 

We have taken the decision to close the shop.

Officials are advising people to take precautions including avoiding household mixing, staying home where possible, and not to visit a Health and Care setting unless absolutely necessary.

Nine new cases of COVID-19 have been detected in the Isle of Man. Six of the cases relate to the recently identified cluster and all six individuals were already in self-isolation. One of the cases is an individual already self-isolating following travel to the Island.

The remaining two cases cannot as yet be explained, indicating there may a low level of community spread of the virus.

A coronavirus press briefing is due to take place at 3pm.

Sewing machines have arrived!

 

After a long time without any deliveries of sewing machines, we have them back in stock.

We have the Janome 2200XT, a good basic sewing machine, excellent for the beginner, or someone who doesn't sew a lot. It's fantastic for straight, zig zag, button holes, and can be used on a huge range of fabrics from voiles, to jersey, through to upholstery fabric. It can be used for free motion quilting and darning.

At the opposite end, we have the Atelier 9. This is a machine for a serious sewer. It would take too long to list all the things it can do. But edited highlights are embroidery, quilting, dressmaking... It is fabulous!

Polystyrene Shapes and Diamond Dotz

We've been busy! Here's our new space to display the polystyrene shapes. We have balls, bells, eggs, cones, rings and penguins.

There's also three sizes of paper balls, and a new range for us, Diamond Dotz.

We're still feeling sheepish.

There's a project bag, complete with a set of bamboo knitting needles, a beautiful wooden needle gauge, and a reversible knitting bag with slots for needle storage.
