We'll be closed on Monday for the May Day bank holiday, but we will be open again on Tuesday.

Now's the time to check your crafting supplies and check to see if you need anything ahead of the long weekend.

Pom Pom Sheep

Wendy and Abbie have been creative with the Clover pom pom maker. Wendy made a pom pom wreath. Abbie started making her own flock of sheep. It was a great way to relax after on-line classes and exam revision.

When the schools returned after lockdown, Abbie's teacher saw her pom pom sheep. She showed him Wendy's wreath. He loved it and asked for his very own one.

Dolls, Dolls, Dolls!

We've been asked recently for patterns for dolls. We have listened, and have found three great books, My Felt Doll, My Crochet Doll, and My Knitted Doll. They all have a different style, but the dolls are seriously cute.

Lost A Lens?

We've just found the lens from someone's glasses. The picture is of sunglasses, but that's just because clear glass doesn't photograph well. If it's yours, let us know. It's in the office for safekeeping.

Happy Birthday, Joan

Happy birthday, to the eponymous Joan! Can't quite believe you are 94 years old. You are looking great on your years.

Lace Cast Off

This week, we've shown three different customers how to knit the lace bind off. It's strong, but yet elastic.

It is great to use to cast off stitches on shawls, on lace, for toe-up socks, the sweater necks for little ones, etc. It's easy to do, and produces great results.

Shell Top Inspired by The Great British Sewing Bee

Fiona, from Make It Sew, has set herself a challenge, to make something each week from The Great British Sewing Bee. She has completed the shell top from last week's program, using one of our viscose/spandex fabrics.
Your top looks brilliant.

We Are Open!

It feels as if we have barely been open this year. We came back from the Christmas holidays, and were open for 3 days before the second lockdown. This lasted until the 1st of February. But, by the 3rd of March, it was back into lockdown. It's just been lifted today!

We are ready and waiting to welcome you back.

Macrame Is Back

Rachel's fingers have been busy during lockdown. Here's her very first attempt at macrame.  It looks great, all ready for a lovely trailing plant.

We have a number of macrame books in stock, along with rings, dowels, beads and cords. When we are able to re-open come along and explore the macrame goodies.
